‘Dennis the Menace’ star dead at 73

Dennis the Menace, passed away at 73 on April 6 after a long illness.

He rose to fame as a child star in the CBS sitcom,which made him a household name. Despite his on-screen success,

North struggled after the show ended in 1963,facing typecasting and difficulty transitioning to adult roles.

He later served in the military, worked in the health food business,

and became a corrections officer in Florida.North opened up about his difficult childhood,

revealing that he was emotionally

and physically abused by his aunt, his guardian during filming.

He became an advocate for child actors,mentoring others through A Minor Consideration.

He also voiced characters in animated

shows and made his last film appearance in 2003’s Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star
